Eat More Often To Loose Weight


Don't go on a diet to loose weight, they are mostly short-term solutions to a long-term problem. Truly these types of diets are doom to fail, and the worst part is you will most likely gain more weight after you stop dieting.

There is no quick fix, it is better to make healthy lifetime changes to how you look at food, and exercise if you want to keep the weight off. The best part about a long-term fitness program is because you are eating better and exercising a little, it will up your metabolism which in turn burns even more calories.

Once you get your metabolism up, you will find out that your exercise program will kick the fat burning process into the next gear, and you burn fat even after you are finished working out.

It's pretty simple to increase your metabolism: Your going to need to add some exercise to your daily activities, and break down your calories intake to smaller meals more often though out the day. Both of these will require a bit of a lifestyle adjustment, but they can be done long-term if worked in gradually as a part of living a healthier life.

It is not that hard to find ways to sneak in a bit of exercise, even with today's busy schedules. Simply taking the stairs instead of the escalator or elevator is an easy way to get your heart pumping a few times per day. Take advantage of your breaks at work and just walk around your building or take a short walk outside.

Most people like the part of this plan that includes eating six time per day instead on three, and that is the real secret as long as your total calories for the day is within your weight loss plan.

Giving your body smaller meals to process more frequently through out the day keeps the digestive system active and prevents an excess of calories from building up.

For some reason our body seems to think that we are still in our cavemen hunt in gather stage of evolution. Therefore when it has an excess it will store it as fat, planning on using it when food is not available. If you only eat three large meals per day, you put your body into a cycle whereas you metabolism is cycling between it's daily high and low. The goal of the six smaller meals is to keep your metabolism steadier through out the day at a higher level.

Once you get serious about this, your going to find out it's not that hard to find some healthy snacks to keep on hand. You could also just take the lunch you usually pack and break it into two meals to give you a steady intake of calories that the body will love.

Your going to want to divide you total calorie goal into your six meals, so that it gives you the most even calorie intake that's possible. This lifestyle change of eating is so much easier than those extreme diets, there is no food that is totally off limits, so you don't have to feel deprived. For this to work you need to treat yourself to some good candy once and awhile. This should be part of the calories of one of your six meals.

One more word of advice, don't beat yourself up when you eat one of your favorite unhealthy foods. As long as you only do this occasionally that is fine, and is actually part of a sustainable weight loss plan.
